Fernhill buys coffee from growers in twelve countries, and each harvest brings a wave of supplier payments in local currencies. Before Ampersand, the finance team logged into four banking portals to send them, each with its own approval process.

Four Portals Became One Run

Fernhill now imports every grower payment from its ERP into a single run. Ampersand converts at the day’s rate, routes each payment through the right bank and shows the total cost before anyone approves.

One Approval Chain for Every Currency

A payment to a grower in Colombia follows the same rules as one to a roaster in Rotterdam. Samuel Osei, Head of Finance, approves the run once, and every payment in it carries that approval into the audit trail.

Growers Get Paid on Time

Payments that used to take a week now arrive within two days, and growers receive a remittance with every transfer. For a business built on long relationships with its growers, that reliability matters as much as the savings.
