Most treasury teams start the day with a spreadsheet that was already out of date when someone opened it. Balances arrive from bank portals one login at a time, and by the time the total adds up, the first payments of the day have left.

A useful morning view answers three questions before 9am, and it answers them from live balances.

How Much Cash Do We Have Right Now?

Start with balances pulled over API and SWIFT from every bank, converted at today’s rate and grouped the way your team reports, by entity and by currency. When a balance is late, show when it last updated, so everyone plans around the newest number.

What Goes Out Today?

Approved payment runs, direct debits and card settlements all leave the account on a known date. Put them beside the balance, so the view shows the position at close, and flag any account that will dip below its buffer before it happens.

Where Is Cash Sitting Idle?

A surplus in one entity often sits next to an overdraft in another. A morning view that lists both side by side turns an intercompany transfer into a two-minute decision at the start of the day.

Ampersand builds this view every morning from your live bank connections, so the first meeting of the day starts from the same numbers for everyone.
